Placement of Pedestrian Crossing in Alcantarilla with 3M™ Stamark™ A380 tape
We have already presented you on other occasions with our STAMARK™ A380 FLOORING TAPE.
Today we bring you a practical application that the Solbi Mural technical team has carried out for the commissioning of this tape in the city of Alcantarilla, Murcia.
Solbi Mural and 3M, in collaboration with the Alcantarilla City Council, have put the 3M Stamark A380ESD road marking tape into use on the town’s Avenida del Príncipe, with the aim of testing road safety at a pedestrian crossing.
This is an area of special intensity of road and pedestrian traffic, since it is located next to a commercial center, and on one of the avenues with the highest road traffic in Alcantarilla.
With the placement of the tape, the visibility and safety of the road markings in the aforementioned pedestrian crossing will be improved.
On the other hand, a comparison will be made against the improvement in durability of traditional paint since this area had to be repainted every few months.
3M Stamark Pavement Marking Tapes save maintenance costs over the life of the road, unlike paint-based road markings.
This tape is made up of abrasion-resistant ceramic microspheres and non-slip particles.
It offers great day and night brightness, high retro-reflectivity, great slip resistance and long-lasting whiteness.
All these properties help to improve visibility and safety conditions on the road, even when driving at night and in the rain.
