INTUMESCENT FIRE-STOPPING STRIP FOR FIRE SEALING

The S01 intumescent fire-stop tape is an advanced passive fire protection solution, designed to provide an effective seal against fire, smoke, air, and water in a wide range of construction and industrial applications.

Manufactured from high-performance intumescent polyurethane foam, this tape is notable for its great flexibility and ease of installation, even on irregular surfaces or complex geometries. Under normal conditions, it remains soft and adaptable; however, when temperatures exceed 200 °C, it expands rapidly to form a charred barrier that blocks the spread of fire and hot gases.

Thanks to these properties, the S01 tape is a reliable choice for projects where fire safety, insulation, and airtightness are critical factors.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE INTUMESCENT FIRE-STOPPING STRIP

""

High fire resistance and intumescent behavior

The strip expands to several times its original volume when exposed to temperatures above 200 °C, creating a robust barrier that prevents the passage of flames, smoke, and gases.

Furthermore, it is halogen-free and does not emit toxic gases during combustion, which enhances safety in the event of a fire.

Airtight and watertight seal

It offers excellent air and water tightness with approximately 30% compression, capable of withstanding pressure differentials of up to 1000 Pa. Ideal for joints exposed to moisture or drafts.

Maximum flexibility and adaptability

Its structure allows it to adapt perfectly to irregular surfaces, edges, or complex joints without losing its properties.

It also acts as a cushioning material, reducing vibrations and decoupling structural elements.

Easy installation and multiple formats

Available in various thicknesses (approx. 4.5 mm to 13 mm), with an optional acrylic adhesive for quick, clean installation that requires no special tools.

It does not generate dust when cut, making it easy to use on-site or in the workshop.

Safe and sustainable material

This is an environmentally friendly solution: halogen-free, with no toxic emissions, and featuring an installation process that is safer for professionals.

APPLICATIONS OF INTUMESCENT TAPE S01

""

Construction and fire-protection systems

Perfect for joints in walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, and HVAC systems. Enables the creation of effective compartments that prevent the spread of fire and smoke within buildings.

Electric and hybrid vehicles (EV/HEV)

Specially designed for battery protection. In the event of thermal runaway, the tape expands to seal gaps, thereby reducing the spread of fire and heat between modules.

Aerospace industry

Used in seats, cargo compartments, and sensitive areas where fire resistance, light weight, and vibration control are required.

Rail transport

Complies with the EN 45545-2 (HL2) standard, making it suitable for trains, rail carriages, and stations. It provides fire protection, as well as sealing and vibration absorption.

Charging infrastructure for electric vehicles

Applicable in EV charging stations to protect cabinets, connections, and critical components against fire, weather, and electrical hazards.

Industrial applications

It is also used in cold storage units, electrical enclosures, technical panels, and any system that requires a durable seal with intumescent protection.
